What is the Innotribe Startup Challenge?

Launched by SWIFT, the Innotribe Startup Challenge introduces financial industry decision makers and early-stage investors to the emerging innovations poised to transform the financial services industry.

The 2012 Challenge is a year-round program that features three Regional Showcases in the US, Asia, and Europe where participants gather for fast-paced company pitches, insightful discussion of emerging innovations, and social networking events.

Challenge Showcases

Americas: New York City - February 8, 2012 apply by January 6, 2012

Asia: Bangkok - April 25/26, apply by March 21, 2012

Europe: Belfast - June TBD, apply by May 12, 2012

The Challenge culminates at Sibos in Osaka, Japan (29 Oct – 2 Nov) when the 15 most promising companies selected by the global Innotribe community are invited to present to the world's top financial institutions attending Innotribe @ Sibos. 

Who participates?

The Innotribe Startup Challenge brings the Innotribe community together with the startups, technology industry leaders, innovators, venture capitalists and industry influencers building the industry's most promising, and disruptive FinTech and Financial Services innovations.

In 2011, over 200 financial technology and services startups applied to the Challenge. More than 50 experts, including angel investors, venture capitalist, technology industry professional and serial entrepreneurs evaluated the applicants. The 10 highest-ranked companies presented to more than 50 of the world's leading financial institutions, including CitiGroup, HSBC, Barclays, Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo, at SWIFT's annual conference, Sibos, in Toronto, Canada.

A limited number of regional and global sponsorships are available.
