Regional Start-up challenge in New York on 8 February 2012

After the success of the start-up competition at Sibos, we have expanded the program for 2012, adding a regional focus.

The start-up challenge match-makes high quality start-ups and innovators with FinTech and financial service investors. The 2012 program includes 3 regional events, the first taking place in New-York on 8th of February 2012.

Selected finalists from this regional event will present at Sibos in Osaka.

We invite regional banking and corporate technology investors to the audience.

The Gist and Grit of Innovation:  Innovation best practices

How can banks innovate to stay ahead of the game? Is there a winning recipe for successful innovation?

This session will explore what are the best practices in Innovation management in the financial industry, using real-life examples from different financial institutions. A panel of experienced innovation practitioners from different banks and SWIFT will share their  knowledge and tips on how to create a successful innovation practice with strategic impact.

Leading up to Innotribe @ SIBOS in Osaka later this year, we look for the audience to engage with several innovation leaders around 2 themes:
- “ From Seed to Blossom – Building an Incubator of Strategic Impact”, an Interactive workshop taking further the discussion and ideas presented in the Innovation plenary. Focus particularly on the key ingredients of successful innovation culture in financial firms.

- “The Future of Money” – a theme we started at Sibos in Amsterdam, this topic has developed and grown in depth and maturity  and is considered currently one of the most strategically important topics in the financial industry. This interactive session will be a guided exploration of what social currencies, virtual currencies, new banks and new economic models really mean to you and your business, what are the opportunities and challenges they bring.
